Welcome to One Cute Cookie!  I’m Colleen, a law school student who enjoys all things arts and crafts.  This journey began one December night in 2012 when I decided to try my hand at a holiday tradition: cookie decorating.  Despite my mom’s warning not to get ahead of myself, I envisioned smiling snowmen, twirling candy canes, and festive Christmas trees dotting the dessert table.  I took to the Internet to teach myself the basics and promptly bought my first set of cookie cutters.  By the end of the night I was up to my elbows in icing and had covered every available kitchen surface with mixing bowls and spatulas; it was a total mess.  Fortunately, the cookies fared better.  In fact, at the time I was pretty impressed with myself.  Others were too, if Instagram “likes” are any indication.  It wasn’t long before friends and family were asking me to make cookies for their graduation parties, baby showers, and wedding receptions.  My ever growing cookie portfolio prompted the birth of this blog and with it, the name ‘One Cute Cookie’.  Thank you for visiting, and I hope you enjoy!
